OVERVIEW
The Welder/Fabricator is responsible for maintaining, repairing and rebuilding front load, roll off, and compactors used in the waste/recycling industry. This includes painting and applying decals. Additional requirements are welding and fabricating on our trucks and equipment at our recycling facility. This is a hands-on, on-site role that is critical to maintaining safe and uninterrupted operations across all collection and processing activities. The ideal candidate brings strong certified welding credentials and expertise, familiarity with refuse collection equipment, and a commitment to safety and uptime. We are looking for experienced personnel only. Must be able to read and write in English.
DUTIES
Fleet Maintenance & Repair
- Perform scheduled and unscheduled maintenance, repair, on refuse containers Class 8 vehicles including front-load garbage trucks and rear-load/roll-off garbage trucks and recycling equipment.
Safety & Compliance
- Ensure all equipment meets OSHA, DOT, and company safety standards
- Maintain compliance with applicable regulatory requirements for CDL-class vehicles.
- Adhere to all shop safety protocols, PPE requirements, and hazardous materials handling procedures.
Required
- 3+ years of experience as a Certified Welder.
- Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, and work orders.
- Must be able to read & write in English.
- Physical ability to lift up to 50 lbs., work in confined spaces, and perform manual labor in varying outdoor conditions.
Pay: $25.00 - $29.00 per hour
