General Maintenance Worker (Strong Carpentry Background)
Location: Dobbins ARB, 94th Airlift Wing, Marietta, GA.
POSITION: EAST O&M, a multi-service facility management & Base Operations Support provider to military installations, has an opening for a General Maintenance Worker with a strong Carpenter background with the following:

The General Maintenance Worker performs general maintenance and repair of equipment and buildings requiring practical skill and knowledge (but not proficiency) in such trades as painting, carpentry, plumbing, masonry, and electrical work. Work involves a variety of the following duties: replacing electrical receptacles, wires, switches, lighting fixtures, and motors, using plaster or compound to patch minor holes and cracks in walls and ceilings, repairing or replacing sinks, water coolers, and toilets painting structures and equipment; repairing or replacing concrete floors, steps, and sidewalks, replacing damaged paneling and floor tiles, hanging doors and installing door locks, replacing and repairing damaged gates and fences, replacing broken window panes, and performing general maintenance on equipment and machinery.
REQUIREMENTS:
Must be a graduate of an accredited technical school’s DiplomaProgram in one of the trades (Electrical experience a priority, Plumbing, HVAC, Carpentry) with two years’ verifiable construction experience; or a verifiable four-year commercial work experience as a trade person in the last six years may be substituted for the education requirement.
Must have strong Carpentry background along with the appropriate certifications.
Must be able to pass a local background check
Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug screening & physical
Must comply with company policies, OSHA, NEC, and base safety
Required to safely lift up to 75 pounds, climb ladders, bend, work above head with arms extended, provide manual labor as necessary and work in confined spaces
Operate aerial platform equipment from the raised platform and other gas-powered equipment as required
Must possess the tools of the trade
Required to follow oral and written directions in English
Must possess a valid state's driver's license / CDL Class B endorsement is preferred
Knowledge of MS Office, Excel, Word, and Outlook or similar programs is helpful
COMPENSATION: We offer a competitive salary and benefits. Hourly wage will be $26.61 plus H&W of $8.85 as a General Maintenance Worker. Additional pay ups / location pay adjustments as required.
