Overview
We are seeking an experienced and passionate Program Manager to lead and oversee services for adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities, including individuals on the autism spectrum. The ideal candidate will have strong knowledge of San Diego Regional Center (SDRC) services and supports, including Independent Living Services (ILS), Independent Living Services (ILS), Community-Based Adult Services, Tailored Day Services (TDS) and other Regional Center-funded programs that help adults live independently and fully participate in their communities.
This leadership role is responsible for ensuring high-quality, person-centered services that empower individuals to achieve their goals, increase independence, and enjoy meaningful lives in the community. The Program Manager will supervise staff, coordinate services, maintain regulatory compliance, and build strong relationships with participants, families, SDRC service coordinators, and community partners.
Key Qualifications
- Strong knowledge of San Diego Regional Center (SDRC) services, eligibility requirements, Individual Program Plans (IPP), person-centered planning, and adult service systems.
- Experience supporting adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities, including individuals on the Autism Spectrum.
- Working knowledge of California Title 17, HCBS requirements, behavior support strategies, medication protocols, and best practices for community-based services.
- Experience supporting and overseeing services related to activities of daily living (ADLs), independent living skills, and community integration.
- Proven leadership experience managing staff performance, service quality, program outcomes, and budgets.
- Excellent communication, organizational, documentation, and problem-solving skills.
- Compassionate, client-centered approach with the ability to build strong relationships with individuals served, families, Regional Center staff, and community partners.
- Valid California driver's license, reliable transportation, and ability to travel throughout San Diego County.
Participant Advocacy & Community Integration
- Advocate for participant rights, choices, and access to community resources.
- Support individuals in achieving goals related to employment, education, independent living, recreation, and social engagement.
- Promote meaningful community participation and inclusive opportunities for adults with disabilities.
