ACI Plastics is a plastics recycler processing more than 50 million lbs. a year with facilities located in Michigan, South Carolina, Nebraska. We are seeking a highly motivated, self-starter possessing a quality mindset to join our team as a Plant Lab Technician at our Flint, MI location.
- Plastics testing experience is a plus as well as some experience in a production environment
- Must be self motivated and able to work with little to no supervision
- Basic computer(MS Office) and math skills are required
- Previous quality experience with ISO/ASTM procedures is beneficial to this position but not required
- Valid Driver's License
- Able to learn inspection procedures and material identification
- Must be able to follow directions and adhere to company policies
- Great attendance is essential for this role
- Willing to train the right candidate
The Lab Technician is responsible for the following
- Inspection of in-process material and final product
- Gathering and molding of samples
- ISO/ASTM Property testing of materials
- Issuing non-conformance reports and updating logs
- Participating in projects and R&D
- Data logging and watching trend reports
- Keeping the lab and equipment clean
Monday - Friday 3pm to 11:30pm Weekends as needed.
Will train on 1st shift.
