Job Summary
ManCave Barber School is an exciting new barber education program built by the team behind ManCave for Men, a growing luxury grooming brand with locations across Florida and beyond. We are creating more than a traditional barber school. We are building a career-launching environment where students develop elite technical skills, confidence, professionalism, and real opportunities within the modern grooming industry.
We are seeking an experienced, motivated, and passionate Barber Instructor to help lead that mission. The ideal candidate is a highly skilled barber who loves the craft, stays current with trends, and enjoys mentoring the next generation of professionals.
Responsibilities
- Deliver engaging classroom instruction on haircutting, fades, tapers, scissor work, shaving, beard grooming, styling, sanitation, and safety.
- Demonstrate modern barbering techniques and lead hands-on student practice.
- Follow and help develop lesson plans aligned with the school curriculum, Florida licensing requirements, and industry standards.
- Provide constructive feedback that builds each student’s technical ability, confidence, and professionalism.
- Evaluate student performance through practical assessments, written work, attendance, and participation.
- Teach client consultation, customer service, retail knowledge, shop etiquette, and the business side of barbering.
- Maintain a clean, organized, safe, and motivating learning environment.
- Mentor students as they prepare for licensing, graduation, and career opportunities.
Qualifications
- Active Florida barber license required.
- Instructor license or eligibility to obtain a Florida barber instructor license preferred.
- Strong professional barbering experience, including fades, textured hair, scissor cuts, beard work, shaving, and styling.
- Previous teaching, mentoring, training, or leadership experience preferred.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to connect with students from different backgrounds and experience levels.
- A professional, dependable, patient, and motivating personality.
- Strong knowledge of sanitation, infection control, safety standards, and Florida barbering regulations.
