Job Overview
We are looking for a friendly, organized, and detail-oriented Medical Receptionist to join our team. The ideal candidate will provide excellent customer service while efficiently managing front desk operations in a fast-paced medical office.
Responsibilities
- Greet and check in patients with a warm, professional demeanor
- Verify insurance eligibility and benefits (including Medicare)
- Schedule and confirm patient appointments using Tebra/Kareo
- Answer and manage multi-line phone systems, directing calls appropriately
- Perform insurance authorizations and verification
- Maintain and update patient records (demographics, insurance, contact info) in EMR
- Manage patient intake forms and ensure documentation accuracy
- File and organize medical records securely
- Ensure HIPAA compliance and patient confidentiality at all times
Qualifications
- Previous experience as a Medical Receptionist or similar role required
- Knowledge of medical terminology
- Experience with EMR/EHR systems (Epic, Kareo/Tebra, etc.) preferred
- Strong computer skills (Microsoft Office, Office 365)
- Excellent communication and phone etiquette
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
- Understanding of HIPAA regulations
Pay: $19.00 - $19.50 per hour
