Job Summary
Play2Learn Academy is seeking a compassionate, dependable, and enthusiastic Infant Teacher to join our early childhood education team. The ideal candidate has a genuine passion for working with infants and is committed to providing a safe, nurturing, and developmentally appropriate learning environment.
As an Infant Teacher, you will build positive relationships with children and families while supporting each infant's physical, emotional, cognitive, and social development through responsive caregiving and play-based learning.
Responsibilities
- Provide a safe, clean, and nurturing classroom environment.
- Maintain active supervision of infants at all times.
- Follow each child's individualized feeding, sleeping, and care schedule.
- Prepare bottles and meals according to each infant's needs.
- Change diapers and maintain proper sanitation and hygiene practices.
- Comfort, soothe, and respond promptly to each infant's individual needs.
- Plan and implement age-appropriate sensory, music, tummy time, and developmental activities.
- Observe and document developmental milestones.
- Complete daily reports, attendance, and required documentation using Procare.
- Maintain accurate state licensing and USDA Food Program documentation.
- Communicate professionally and positively with families regarding their child's daily activities and milestones.
- Keep the classroom clean, organized, and compliant with all health and safety regulations.
- Collaborate with fellow teachers and administration to provide high-quality care.
- Follow all Play2Learn Academy policies and Utah childcare licensing requirements.
Qualifications
Required:
- Must be at least 18 years old.
- High school diploma or GED.
- Ability to pass all required state background checks.
- Ability to lift up to 40 pounds and actively participate in classroom activities.
- Reliable attendance and dependable transportation.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
Preferred:
- Previous experience working in an infant classroom or licensed childcare setting.
- CPR/First Aid Certification (or willingness to obtain).
- Knowledge of child development and developmentally appropriate practices.
