Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough inspections of damaged vehicles to determine the scope of collision repairs needed
- Utilize computer-aided vehicle damage estimating software to prepare detailed repair estimates with precision
- Communicate clearly with customers to explain repair processes, costs, and timelines, ensuring a positive experience
- Collaborate with service technicians and body shop staff to prioritize repairs and monitor progress
- Upsell additional services such as auto service management, oil changes, tire service, or mechanical repairs when appropriate
- Maintain accurate documentation of estimates, repair orders, and customer interactions
- Assist in vehicle diagnostics, mechanical assessments, and identifying necessary repairs such as transmissions, suspension, brakes, or diesel engine repairs
Skills
- Strong automotive diagnostics knowledge combined with mechanical expertise across various systems including transmissions, shocks & struts, air brakes, alignment, and suspension
- Proven experience in auto estimating, collision repair, and service writing within a dealership or auto body shop environment
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate technical information clearly and professionally
- Ability to upsell automotive services confidently while maintaining integrity and customer trust
- Familiarity with computer-aided estimating software and automotive repair procedures
- Mechanical knowledge of vehicle maintenance tasks such as oil changes, tire service, brake repairs, and diesel engine work
- Valid driving license with a clean driving record; experience in auto sales is a plus

Pay: $57,419.93 - $89,150.89 per year
