Assistant Property Manager assists with the daily operations of the assisted living community in accordance with company policies, procedures, and mission. Supports the General Manager in maintaining quality resident care, staff coordination, resident satisfaction, and regulatory compliance. This position carries less responsibility than the General Manager role and serves as a support position to leadership.
Supervisory Responsibilities:
· Assists with onboarding and training new employees.
· Provides guidance and support to direct care staff.
· Assists with staffing coordination and schedule adjustments.
· Monitors completion of assigned duties and reports concerns to the House Manager.
· Participates in employee coaching and performance feedback as directed.
· Assists with payroll and documentation collection when requested.
Duties/Responsibilities:
· Supports the House Manager/General Manager/Property Manager with daily community operations.
· Maintains positive communication with residents, families, staff, and visitors.
· Assists with resident move-ins, move-outs, and room preparations.
· Participates in resident care and service delivery as needed.
· Monitors resident well-being and reports concerns promptly.
· Assists with maintaining resident records and required documentation.
· Supports implementation of resident care plans.
· Assists with activity coordination and resident engagement.
· Helps ensure adequate supplies are available and organized.
· Performs routine audits of resident areas and common spaces for cleanliness and safety.
· Assists with food service oversight and kitchen organization.
· Coordinates maintenance requests and follows up on completion.
· Assists with scheduling, call-offs, and shift coverage.
· Ensures compliance with company policies and state regulations.
· Acts as a resource to staff during the absence of the House Manager.
· Performs other duties as assigned.
Dietary Support Responsibilities:
· Assists with food service coordination and meal service oversight.
· Monitors food storage and labeling practices.
· Assists with kitchen cleanliness and sanitation audits.
· Coordinates supply needs and reports equipment concerns to leadership.
Required Skills/Abilities:
· Strong organizational and communication skills.
· Knowledge of assisted living operations preferred.
· Ability to lead by example and support team members.
· Ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple responsibilities.
· Proficiency with Microsoft Office and electronic documentation systems.
· Knowledge of OSHA and resident safety practices.
Education and Experience:
· High School Diploma or GED required.
· One year of assisted living, healthcare, or supervisory experience preferred.
· Current CNA, PSS, and/or CRMA certification preferred based on community needs.
Pay: From $19.50 per hour
