Summary
Appraises vehicle damage to determine cost of repair for insurance claim settlement.
Essential Duties
- Examine damaged vehicles to determine extent of body, structural, mechanical or interior damage.
- Estimates cost of labor and parts to return vehicle to pre-loss condition.
- Work with customer and insurance company to come to agreed price to repair vehicle.
- Obtain all required signatures and authorization to perform repairs.
- Keep customers updated on status of repair throughout the process.
- Perform quality control inspections throughout repair process.
- Upon completion and prior to delivery review final invoice to assure all repairs were completed and invoice is accurate.
- Other tasks as assigned.
Qualifications required for this position include:
- Strong Customer Service skills and a willingness to learn
- Experience in the automotive field may be advantageous.
- A strong understanding of automotive technology and the automotive industry.
- Proficiency with industry-specific software.
- Excellent customer service, interpersonal, and communication skills.
- Strong organizational, decision making, and problem-solving skills.
- The ability to communicate with mechanics, customers, and management.
- Strong oral and written communication skills
- Strong organization skills
- Ability to multitask
- Valid state of Michigan driver’s license
- Must pass drug screen and background check
Work Schedule:
Monday - Friday 8:00 AM to 5:30 PM
