- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.
- 2 years of experience with software development in one or more programming languages, or 1 year of experience with an advanced degree.

We build and support the “face of the product” to our customers. Our team is also responsible for building the next-generation, AI-native data science tools on top of the Colab stack.
The Google Cloud AI Research team addresses AI challenges motivated by Google Cloud’s mission of bringing AI to tech, healthcare, finance, retail and many other industries. We work on a range of unique problems focused on research topics that maximize scientific and real-world impact, aiming to push the state-of-the-art in AI and share findings with the broader research community. We also collaborate with product teams to bring innovations to real-world impact that benefits our customers.Individual pay is determined by factors including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
US: $147000 - $211000 (USD) + 15% bonus target + equity + benefits

- Participate in a tier 2 on-call rotation to support Colab's production services.
- Contribute to the exploration, design, and implementation of a frontend modernization effort, updating our codebase to align with modern, Google-standard infrastructure.
- Collaborate with product and engineering teams to design and build an extensible frontend architecture that accelerates the development of new features.
- Develop and deliver high-quality, performance features for critical team projects.
- Design, build, and maintain robust frontend components and services for the Colab applications.
