Position Overview
Sebeco Motorsport is seeking a detail-oriented and versatile shipping and receiving assistant. This role is responsible for supporting the day-to-day organization and operation of our racecar manufacturing facility. In this role, you will assist with receiving incoming parts and deliveries, checking shipments for accuracy, organizing inventory, preparing outbound packages, and helping maintain clean and efficient shop and storage areas.
Key ResponsibilitiesShipping & Receiving
- Receive incoming parts, materials, and packages from vendors and delivery carriers.
- Check shipments against packing slips, purchase orders, and expected quantities.
- Inspect incoming packages for visible damage and report missing, incorrect, or damaged items.
- Label, sort, and route received parts to the correct inventory or production area.
- Prepare outbound packages, including packing, labeling, and coordinating shipment pickup.
- Maintain an organized shipping and receiving area.
Inventory Support
- Assist with counting, labeling, shelving, and organizing parts and supplies.
- Monitor basic inventory levels and report low-stock items to the appropriate team member.
- Help complete periodic inventory counts and identify discrepancies.
- Pull and stage parts for production, service, or customer orders as directed.
- Return unused parts and materials to their proper inventory locations.
- Help maintain accurate and clearly organized storage areas.
Shop Support
- Assist with general shop organization, cleaning, and material movement.
- Move parts, boxes, tools, and supplies between work areas as needed.
- Help maintain clean aisles, workspaces, shelving, and storage locations.
- Assist production and assembly team members with basic support tasks within skill level.
- Break down boxes, dispose of packaging materials, and keep common areas orderly.
- Support loading and unloading of vehicles, deliveries, and equipment when needed.
Communication & Teamwork
- Communicate shipment issues, inventory shortages, and damaged parts clearly with supervisors.
- Work closely with inventory, purchasing, production, and assembly personnel.
- Follow instructions carefully and complete assigned tasks in a timely manner.
- Adapt to changing priorities based on deliveries, production schedules, and shop needs.
- Contribute to a professional, dependable, and safe shop environment.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in shipping, receiving, inventory, warehouse, retail stockroom, or shop support is helpful but not required.
- Basic computer skills and comfort learning inventory or shipping software.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to follow written and verbal instructions accurately.
- Dependable, punctual, and willing to assist in different areas of the facility.
- Comfortable working independently while contributing to a team-oriented environment.
- Interest in automotive, motorsports, manufacturing, or mechanical work is preferred.
- Ability to safely lift and move boxes, parts, and supplies throughout the workday.
