**Job Summary:**
We are seeking an experienced Operations Supervisor to oversee daily activities at a salvage yard.
This role is responsible for supervising yard operations, managing personnel, ensuring safety compliance (including OSHA regulations), and maintaining productivity, organization, and efficiency across all operations.
The ideal candidate is hands-on, safety-focused, and experienced in industrial or heavy operations environments.
**Responsibilities:**
- Supervise daily yard operations including receiving, sorting, processing, and shipping materials.
- Lead and direct operational staff and heavy equipment operators.
- Oversee safe and proper use of heavy equipment including forklifts, loaders, excavators, and cranes.
- Monitor yard productivity and ensure operational targets are met.
- Coordinate inbound and outbound material flow and internal inventory movement.
- Verify proper classification and identification of recyclable and salvage materials.
- Maintain cleanliness, organization, and safety standards across the yard.
- Quickly identify and resolve operational issues as they arise.
- Monitor employee attendance, performance, and discipline.
- Address disciplinary matters and ensure compliance with company policies.
- Prepare operational reports, production tracking, and inventory records.
- Ensure quality standards and operational efficiency are consistently met.
**Experience:**
- High school diploma or GED.
- 3+ years of supervisory experience in industrial operations such as: Salvage yard, Scrap metal, Recycling facility, Warehouse, Construction or Industrial operations
- Experience with heavy equipment operations.
- OSHA safety knowledge or certification.
- Bilingual. Fluent Spanish required
