Under the supervision of the Plant General Manager, the Maintenance Technician, will work to preserve the condition and operational readiness of our facility in Kansas City, MO. This will include conducting diagnostic assessments, scheduling, and performing repairs and maintenance on all plant equipment. This is a physically active role requiring the ability to maneuver around heavy equipment, including bending, climbing, crawling, manual dexterity, and frequently lifting and carrying objects weighing approximately 40 pounds. Primary Responsibilities (Essential Functions):

Perform scheduled preventive maintenance on conveyors, HVAC, roofing, and other related items around the location.

Conducting diagnostic assessments, scheduling, and performing repairs and maintenance on all plant equipment.

Perform tasks for the upkeep of buildings and grounds.

Utilize carpentry, plumbing, electrical, and mechanical skills for minor repairs.

Perform preventive maintenance of pumps and motors.

Ability to read manuals to assist in repairs.

Always maintain a clean and pristine work area.

Develop preventative maintenance procedures, document completed work orders, and perform other assignments to ensure a safe, clean healthy, and efficient facility.

Perform other reasonably related tasks as assigned by management.
Work Environment:

Required to wear company-provided personal protective equipment including eye protection, foot protection, hard hat, Tyvek coveralls, and respirator.

Ability to maneuver around heavy equipment including bending, climbing, crawling, manual dexterity, and occasionally lifting and carrying objects weighing up to 50 pounds.

Must be able to pass a DEA background check when relevant.

Basic Requirements:

High School diploma or GED.

Experience 2+ years in a maintenance-related field.

Must pass physical, drug test, and background check.
Understanding of safety, lockout/tagout, and compliance protocols.

Preferred Requirements:

Certification or license in boiler, welding, or electrical field.

Associate Degree from a two-year college or technical school in a related field.

Knowledge of hazardous materials handling and OSHA training.

A strong knowledge of electrical, carpentry, and plumbing.

Ability to communicate fluently in English.
