Job Summary
The Health and Safety Consultant supports the development, implementation, and evaluation of occupational health and safety programs for clients and internal operations. This role conducts audits, inspections, risk assessments, and compliance reviews; assists with incident investigations and corrective action management; and contributes to the development of practical solutions that reduce workplace risk and improve safety performance.
Working under the direction of senior staff, the consultant applies technical knowledge and regulatory understanding to support client engagements, project deliverables, and internal initiatives. The Health and Safety Consultant is expected to develop consulting expertise, maintain strong client relationships, contribute to continuous improvement efforts, and promote the company culture, vision, and commitment to excellence in health and safety services.
Responsibilities
- Demonstrate commitment to the company culture and vision.

- Strict adherence to health and safety rules and company policies.
- Conduct health and safety audits, inspections, and risk assessments under established scopes.
- Assist with the development and implementation of safety programs, policies, and procedures.
- Support regulatory compliance reviews and corrective action tracking.
- Provide technical input and practical recommendations to reduce workplace risk.
- Assist with incident investigations and basic root cause analysis.
- Prepare reports and documentation and support client communication.
- Contribute to continuous improvement of internal and client facing health and safety services.
- Facilitate communications between office and field staff, subcontractors, and clients.
- Organize, file, and maintain project documents (physical or cloud based).
- Maintain positive vendor and client relationships.
- Schedule meetings and appointments; provide reminders to staff when important events are upcoming.
Skills
- Proficient computer skills, including Microsoft Office Suite (specifically Excel, Word, Outlook and Teams), Adobe and other management software.
- Knowledge of OSHA regulations with practical hazard recognition skills
- Ability to support safety program implementation and incident investigations
- Strong organization, communication, and task management skills
- Client focused mindset with developing consulting capability

Pay: $60,000.00 - $80,000.00 per year
