Give 'Em A Brake Safety is Michigan largest traffic control company, and we are currently seeking a Mechanical Maintenance Technician to add to our experienced staff.
Candidates must have strong work ethic, be dependable, have a positive attitude, a desire to grow with the company, and work well in a team environment.
The Mechanical Maintenance Technician will be responsible for the general fleet maintenance at our Macomb branch as well as day to day maintenance tasks.
Responsibilities/Requirements
- Knowledge of overall maintenance procedures including oil changes, wiring, MIG welding, metal fabricating, diagrams, and schematics
- Maintaining an organized and neat area
- Keep up to date maintenance records for all vehicles
- Trouble shoot issues and provide solutions to correct
- Ability to interpret and understand complex documented standards and procedures including maintenance and repair manuals
- Ability to use power tools
- Light fabrication
Work Requirements:
- Must have a valid driver’s license
- Must pass DOT Physical
- Must pass background and reference checks
- Must be able to stand for extended periods of time
- Must be able to work in extreme weather conditions
- Must be able to lift up to 50lbs repetitively
