Job Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Accounts Payable Coordinator/HR Assistant to join our team. Duties
- Process and verify invoices, expense reports, and purchase orders ensuring accuracy and adherence to company policies.
- Reconcile accounts payable transactions and prepare journal entries in compliance with GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles) and SOX (Sarbanes-Oxley Act) controls.
- Manage vendor relationships by resolving billing discrepancies, responding to inquiries, and maintaining up-to-date vendor records
- Conduct account reconciliations for general ledger accounts related to accounts payable and receivable; prepare detailed reports for review.
- Perform data entry tasks with precision using 10-key typing skills; maintain organized records of financial transactions and HR documentation.
Skills
- Strong understanding of accounting principles including double entry bookkeeping, debits & credits, and financial concepts.
- Experience working with accounting software
- Knowledge of payroll systems including ADP
- Familiarity with compliance standards such as SOX and GAAP to ensure internal controls are maintained.
- Excellent analysis skills for account reconciliation, journal entries, and financial data review.
- Effective communication skills for collaborating with vendors, employees, and internal teams on accounts payable and HR matters.
- Ability to handle sensitive information discreetly while maintaining accuracy in data entry and record keeping.
