A leading civil contractor is looking to add a Project Engineer to its growing team in the Triad, NC. With a strong pipeline of roadway and heavy civil infrastructure work across the region, this is an excellent opportunity to build a long-term career within civil construction.
The Role
As the Project Engineer, you will support Project Managers and Superintendents with the day-to-day coordination and delivery of roadway and heavy civil projects across the Triad.
Responsibilities
- Support the delivery of roadway and heavy civil construction projects.
- Assist with RFIs, submittals, change orders and project documentation.
- Track quantities, production and project progress.
- Assist with project schedules and short-term planning.
- Coordinate with subcontractors, suppliers and field teams.
- Review plans, specifications and construction documents.
- Support cost tracking, procurement and project controls.
- Assist with roadway, grading, paving, drainage and associated infrastructure scopes.
- Work closely with Project Managers and Superintendents throughout project delivery.
Requirements
- Previous Project Engineer, Field Engineer or related heavy civil construction experience.
- Experience within roadway, grading, paving, drainage or infrastructure construction preferred.
- Ability to read and interpret construction plans and specifications.
- Strong organizational and communication skills.
- Comfortable working between field and project management functions.
- Desire to progress into an Assistant Project Manager and ultimately Project Manager position.
