Maintenance General

What You'll Do

Maintain the cleanliness of production equipment, facility interiors, and exterior grounds.

Operate cleaning equipment such as floor scrubbers, sweepers, vacuums, mops, and other maintenance tools.

Perform painting projects, including walls, safety lines, and floor markings.

Complete routine preventative maintenance on facility equipment and systems.

Monitor and maintain cleaning equipment and supply inventories.

Assist with facility repairs and general maintenance projects.

Replace light bulbs and maintain adequate lighting throughout the facility.

Clean windows and other areas to support facility appearance.

Remove snow, ice, and debris from sidewalks, entrances, and walkways.

Perform other maintenance-related duties as assigned.

Qualifications
Required
-
High school diploma or equivalent.

Minimum of 2 years of experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment.

Knowledge of general building systems, maintenance tools, and workplace safety practices.

Strong communication and organizational skills.

Ability to perform physically demanding work, including lifting, climbing, bending, and standing for extended periods.
Preferred
-
Previous facility maintenance, janitorial, or building maintenance experience in a manufacturing setting.

Experience operating industrial cleaning equipment.
Physical Requirements

Frequently stand, walk, bend, stoop, kneel, crouch, and move throughout the facility.

Use hands and arms to handle tools, equipment, and materials.

Climb ladders and work at varying heights as needed.

Lift and carry up to 50 pounds frequently.

Possess close vision, distance vision, color vision, and depth perception.
Working Environment
This position works primarily in a manufacturing environment where exposure to loud noise, dust, metal debris, temperature fluctuations, and moving equipment is common. Appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) is required when working in designated areas.
Travel

Periodic travel between local company facilities.

Occasional domestic travel for company-sponsored training opportunities.
