Job Summary
We are seeking a full time person to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for food and a commitment to providing high-quality meals in a fast-paced environment. As a team member, you will be responsible for preparing, frying, and cooking various Chicago-Style meals, while adhering to food safety standards and maintaining a clean workspace.
Duties
- Prepare and cook a variety of foods according to established recipes and menu specifications.
- Ensure all food handling procedures comply with food safety regulations.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen area, including equipment, utensils, and work surfaces.
- Monitor cooking times and temperatures to ensure food is cooked properly and served at the right quality.
- Collaborate with other kitchen staff to ensure efficient service during peak hours.
- Assist in menu planning and development of new menu items as needed.
- Operate kitchen equipment safely, including fryers, knives, and other cooking tools.
- Participate in catering events as required, ensuring high standards of food presentation and service.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in the food industry, particularly in a restaurant or catering environment, is required.
- An understanding of how fast casual restaurants operate and a committment to top-notch customer service.
- Knowledge of food handling practices and food safety regulations is essential.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
- Excellent teamwork skills with the ability to communicate effectively with kitchen staff.
- Ability to work days, nights and weekends based on need.
- Must be able to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 pounds as required.
- The ideal person will be able to lead the kitchen teams assigning tasks and ensuring inventory and customer needs are completed.
