Overview
We are seeking an experienced Estimating Manager to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in construction estimating and project management, with a proven ability to lead a team effectively. This role requires expertise in cost control, pricing strategies, and contract negotiations, ensuring that all estimates are accurate and aligned with project goals. The Estimating Manager will play a crucial role in driving the success of our projects through meticulous planning and execution.
Responsibilities
- Lead the estimating team in preparing accurate and timely cost estimates for fence and automated gate projects.
- Utilize software tools such as Bluebeam and HeavyBid for efficient estimation processes.
- Collaborate with project managers and other stakeholders to gather necessary information for estimates.
- Conduct thorough reviews of plans, specifications, and contracts to ensure compliance with project requirements.
- Implement cost control measures throughout the estimating process to optimize budget management.
- Negotiate contracts and pricing with subcontractors and suppliers to secure favorable terms.
- Provide guidance and mentorship to junior estimators, fostering a collaborative team environment.
- Monitor industry trends and best practices in construction estimating to enhance departmental efficiency.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in construction estimating, with a strong understanding of construction management principles.
- Proficiency in estimating software such as Bluebeam and HeavyBid is highly desirable.
- Strong negotiation skills with experience in managing contracts effectively.
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Familiarity with cost control methods and pricing strategies within the construction industry.
- Construction site experience is preferred to understand practical implications of estimates.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, to interact effectively with team members and stakeholders.

Pay: $65,000.00 - $80,000.00 per year
