Responsible for preparing and processing all incoming and outgoing shipments.
- Must have high school diploma or equivalent.
- Must have a minimum of two years experience using computers at some level, microsft and shipping and receiving software.
- Must have 2-3 years in a lead role in shipping and receiving
- Receive, control, inspect, and release all incoming customer material, including related computer transactions.
- Insure all outgoing materials, packaging, process documentation and shipping documents meet customer requirements.
- Dispose of all scrap materials.
- Deliver materials to other company buildings and locations.
- Operate and maintain all shipping dock and material handling equipment in compliance with all safety requirements.
- Maintain clean equipment and work areas.
- Wear personal protective equipment and follow safety instructions as required.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- Must be able to lift 50 lb. parts and other items from floor to waist on a regular basis while protecting lifted items from damage.
- Must be able to stand for several consecutive hours without rest, with frequent bending and reaching.
- Must be able to tolerate a hot work environment, even at times when summer outdoor temperatures combine with residual heat from furnaces.
- Must be able to walk within and between areas constantly and climb stairs occasionally.
