Since 1994, G & S Manufacturing., LLC has been welding and fabricating industrial metal structures and parts for industries throughout the United States! Some of the industries that we serve include mining, coal, agriculture, health, and dust collection. We have an opening for an experienced welder/fabricator located in Courtland, Minnesota. This is a full-time position, working (4) 10-hour days.
As a welder/fabricator, you will be responsible for fabricating mild steel components as required, with the information supplied or per the blueprint. This position will require someone who has prior welding experience and is able to work in a quick and efficient manner to complete jobs. Position is a safety-sensitive position.
Primary Responsibilities
- Weld components, frame structures and handrails using a variety of welding processes.
- Position and fit parts according to blueprints.
- Measure work to verify tolerances are acceptable.
- Grind and clean up welds to finish using hand or power tools to the required standard.
- Operate fabrication equipment, such as press brakes, shear, iron worker, crane, and forklifts.
- Maintain a clean and safe work area.
- Maintain tools and equipment in a clean, orderly, and safe manner.
Additional Responsibilities
- Comply with Health and Safety Standards
- Willing to work in other departments and overtime as necessary to assist in meeting production deadlines.
- Other duties as assigned.
We seek an individual with post-secondary education or experience in welding. Must be able to read a tape measure, read and interpret blueprints, weld symbols, and job instructions. This position does require being on your feet most of the day, standing, bending, and crawling. Must be able to lift (50) pounds comfortably, wear a respirator when needed, and pass a physical exam, respirator test and a drug & alcohol test. Candidate will be able to work independently and can manage their day efficiently.
Wage is based off experience.
