Position Summary: Support the activities of general maintenance and participates in troubleshooting and maintaining production and plant assets. The maintenance technician would be required to physically perform all the job tasks required for all aspects of building and equipment, maintenance, repair or improvements. They would work with other maintenance staff to ensure that maintenance tasks are performed in a safe and timely manner.
Responsibilities/Duties:
1. Troubleshoot and maintain production and plant assets.
2. Perform building and equipment maintenance, repair and improvements and fabricating new machine parts as needed.
3. Review machine productivity, determine causes for downtime and suggest improvements and corrections.
4. Develop new ways to improve functionality and efficiency.
5. Recommend equipment purchases as necessary.
6. Notifies management of any problems that might affect production schedules.
7. Perform all other duties as assigned or needed.
Specific Knowledge/Skills:
- Requires a high school diploma/GED.
- Must have 4+ years of manufacturing experience; strong hydraulic, pneumatic, mechanical and industrial skills.
- Knowledge of and ability to use hand tools and welding tools.
- Knowledge and ability to troubleshoot systems (including, but not limited to programmable logic controllers, solid state motor drives, overhead traveling cranes and hydraulic circuits)
- Knowledge of operations efficiency and division equipment, as well as the use of basic math skills and use of precision instruments is a must.
Physical Requirements:
Must be able to lift and move objects up to 50 pounds consistently. Must be able to stand, stoop, bend and sit for extended periods of time.
Salary compensate with knowledge and experience.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $30.00 - $32.00 per hour
