Steel City Media is a Pittsburgh based multi-media company with market leading media outlets in Pittsburgh and Kansas City. This position is for the Pittsburgh location at 5000 McKnight Road (15237)- WRRK (96.9 BOB FM) and WLTJ (Q92.9 FM) studios.
We are looking for a part-time Radio Promotions Coordinator who can interact with listeners and clients in a positive, professional and upbeat manner while on-site at client remotes, station events and concerts.
The Promotions Coordinator is responsible for setting up and breaking down promotional equipment for on-site events, including 10x10 tents, tables, speakers, and giveaway materials. This role includes driving station vehicles, engaging with listeners, clients, and on-air talent, and organizing and executing games, contests, and giveaways with support from station talent.
In addition to event responsibilities, this position requires in-office work utilizing basic administrative and organizational skills. Proficiency in Adobe Photoshop or Canva is required. The Promotions Coordinator will manage the distribution of digital tickets to contest winners, create and publish content for station websites and social media platforms, and learn the day-to-day office procedures that support the successful operation of the promotions department.
The Promotions Assistant will have the ability to work flexible hours (maximum 30 hours per week) that include weekdays, weekends and holidays, as needed. Must be able to lift and carry 50 lbs., have excellent communication skills with a clean driving record and a valid PA driver's license.
