Job Summary

Responsibilities
- Greet patients warmly and assist them with appointment scheduling, rescheduling, and cancellations using medical office software
- Verify patient insurance information and collect necessary documentation to streamline billing processes
- Communicate clearly with patients regarding treatment plans, appointment details, and pre-visit instructions
- Maintain accurate and organized patient records, ensuring confidentiality and compliance with healthcare regulations
- Support clinical staff by preparing patient charts, updating medical histories, and managing incoming correspondence
- Answer phone calls promptly, address patient inquiries, and direct calls to appropriate team members as needed
- Coordinate follow-up appointments and assist with patient referrals to specialists or other healthcare providers
Experience
- Previous experience working in a medical office environment is highly preferred
- Knowledge of medical terminology to accurately interpret clinical notes and communicate effectively with healthcare professionals
- Proven ability to provide excellent medical administrative support in a busy office setting
- Strong computer skills are required for scheduling, billing, and record management
- Office experience demonstrating organizational skills and attention to detail
- Experience working in an audiological setting is preferred, but not required
