**Job Summary:**
The Assistant Housekeeping Manager will assist the Housekeeping Manager in overseeing the daily operations of the housekeeping department. This individual will be responsible for ensuring the cleanliness and tidiness of all guest rooms, public areas, and back-of-house spaces in accordance with company standards and policies.
**Qualifications:**
- High school diploma or equivalent; Bachelor’s degree in Hospitality Management or related field preferred
- Proven experience in housekeeping or a similar role
- Strong knowledge of cleaning techniques and chemical handling
- Excellent organizational and time management skills
- Good communication and interpersonal abilities
- Attention to detail and a focus on quality and customer service
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Leadership skills and the ability to motivate a team
**Responsibilities:**
- Assist in recruiting, training, and supervising housekeeping staff
- Inspect guest rooms and public areas to ensure cleanliness and adherence to standards
- Coordinate with the maintenance department to address any maintenance issues
- Monitor inventory of cleaning supplies and equipment and place orders as needed
- Handle guest inquiries and complaints promptly and professionally
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations
- Assist in developing and implementing housekeeping procedures and policies
- Collaborate with other departments to provide excellent guest service
- Perform other duties as assigned by the Housekeeping Manager
