Role Overview
We are currently seeking an experienced Lead Maintenance Technician to join our team. In this role, you will manage facility upkeep, mentor maintenance staff, and perform critical equipment repairs to ensure high operational standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Leadership: Train, schedule, and review the work of maintenance staff while acting as a mentor to improve performance and safety.
- Maintenance: Perform complex repairs on forklifts (including Combilift troubleshooting) and bandsaws. Manage HVAC, plumbing, and electrical systems, and oversee preventative maintenance schedules to minimize downtime.
- Project Management: Prioritize and assign work orders, ensuring tasks are completed promptly and independently.
- Inventory & Vendors: Manage spare parts inventory, order supplies, and oversee outside contractors within budgetary guidelines.
- Safety: Maintain strict compliance with federal, state, and company safety regulations, including OSHA standards.
- Facility Care: Monitor building and grounds using 5s methodologies to ensure a professional presentation, performing facility repairs as needed.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- 3–5 years of experience as a lead maintenance technician, preferably in the steel or manufacturing industry.
- Technical proficiency in forklift repair, bandsaws, HVAC, electrical, and plumbing.
- Strong ability to troubleshoot and provide a sense of urgency when equipment is down.
- Ability to interpret technical instructions, manuals, and blueprints.
- Welding experience is a plus.
- Ability to lift heavy equipment and work in varied weather conditions.
- Valid Arizona Driver License
