Camaraderie Clubs, a premier private club management company, is seeking a Director of Clubhouse Maintenance to join The Huntington Club. This role is responsible for the overall condition, safety, and upkeep of the Clubhouse, locker rooms, and all structures and facilities across the property.
How You Will Make a Difference
The Director of Clubhouse Maintenance is a hands-on, solutions-oriented leader who ensures every space members and guests experience is clean, safe, and impeccably maintained. Reporting to the General Manager, this role manages the Facilities team, the Housekeeping Manager and department, and takes ownership of the physical condition of the Clubhouse and surrounding structures. The ideal candidate combines general construction expertise with strong leadership and a proactive approach to preventive maintenance and regulatory compliance.
How You Will Do It

Manage, schedule, and hold accountable the Facilities team and the Housekeeping Manager and department, ensuring consistent standards across all shifts.

Oversee the maintenance, cleanliness, and overall condition of the Clubhouse, locker rooms, and all structures and facilities on property.

Perform and direct general construction and repair work, including painting, plumbing, electrical, and drywall repairs.

Develop and execute a preventive maintenance program for building systems, equipment, and facilities to minimize downtime and extend asset life.

Ensure all buildings and work practices meet applicable building codes, health, and employee safety compliance requirements.

Maintain locker room facilities to a premium standard of cleanliness, function, and member comfort.

Respond promptly to facility issues, member requests, and emergency repairs, coordinating quick and complete resolutions.

Source, manage, and supervise outside contractors and vendors for specialized projects; review bids and monitor work quality.

Maintain inventory of tools, supplies, and equipment while managing the department within budget.

Conduct routine facility inspections and document conditions, deficiencies, and completed work.

Partner with department heads to support Club events, programming, and daily operations.

Perform additional duties as assigned by the General Manager.
Skills for Success

Demonstrated background in general construction with hands-on ability in painting, plumbing, electrical, and drywall repair.

Working knowledge of building compliance codes and employee safety (OSHA) regulations.

Proven leadership and team management skills with the ability to train, direct, and hold staff accountable.

Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple priorities.

Ability to troubleshoot and problem-solve mechanical, structural, and facility issues independently.

Comfortable working a flexible schedule, including occasional evenings, weekends, and emergency response as needed.

Qualifications

3+ years of facilities, building maintenance, or general construction experience, including a supervisory or lead role.

Hands-on proficiency across painting, plumbing, electrical, and drywall repair; HVAC or pool systems experience a plus.

Knowledge of building codes, OSHA, and employee safety compliance; relevant trade certifications preferred.

Time Commitment Requirements
