We are seeking a professional, organized, and dependable Bookman/Crane Operator to join our team on 2nd shift Mon-Fri, 4:00pm - 2:30am.
Job Description: Pull material to fill orders for customers. Operate overhead crane moving materials to and from storage areas, processing areas, or to load and unload trucks or by performing the following duties:
- Select material as indicated by production order.
- Pull material in accordance with safety & handling guidelines.
- Inspects crane on a daily basis for defective parts and notifies supervisor or maintenance of defects or malfunctions.
- Unload and put away material from common carriers.
- Keep saw operators and blaster operator’s line clear at all times.
- Stack & package neatly (observing special instructions).
- Re-check size, quantity, color code & special instructions.
- Make sure that all outgoing material has a color code.
- Tag the material.
- Complete the order by circling the quantity shipped, creating backorders if necessary, and moving the material into the staging area, as indicated by color.
- Make sure the correct number of pieces are pulled as shown on the production order. Follow special instructions on the production orders.
- Other duties may be assigned.

Education and/or Experience
High school diploma or general education degree (GED) highly recommended; or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and
experience.
Experience working in a fast past manufacturing environment preferred.
Warehouse and Material Handling experience preferred.
Overhead crane experience preferred.
Language Skills
Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions.
Mathematical Skills
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
Reasoning Ability
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions.
Other Skills and Abilities
Read tape measure
AS400 computer experience a plus.
Forklift Operation – a plus
