The Opportunity
ACE Glass Construction is seeking an experienced Safety Manager to lead safety across our construction, fabrication, transportation, and office operations.
This role is responsible for building a strong safety culture, reducing risk, maintaining regulatory compliance, and helping operational leaders create safe, accountable work environments.
The ideal candidate is a hands-on safety leader who is comfortable in the field, can communicate effectively with employees at all levels, and knows how to turn safety requirements into practical actions.
Key Responsibilities

Lead and continuously improve ACE Glass Construction’s safety program.
- Maintain a regular presence at jobsites, fabrication facilities, and company locations.
- Conduct safety inspections, identify hazards, and track corrective actions through completion.
- Coach project managers, superintendents, foremen, and employees on safe work practices.
- Maintain compliance with OSHA and other applicable safety requirements.
- Manage required safety records, OSHA logs, training records, inspections, and certifications.
- Support project-specific safety planning, including JHAs, AHAs, fall-protection plans, and lift plans.
- Lead or support investigations involving injuries, near misses, vehicle incidents, and property damage.
- Perform root-cause analysis and recommend corrective actions.
- Develop and coordinate employee safety training and new-hire safety orientation.
- Support fleet, driver, vehicle, and equipment safety programs.
- Monitor safety performance and provide regular reporting to leadership.
- Serve as a company safety resource during OSHA, insurance, or other regulatory inspections.
- Stop work when an imminent safety hazard exists and ensure appropriate corrective action is taken.
The Safety Manager should be comfortable supporting safety practices involving:

- Scaffolding and ladders
- Aerial lifts
- Cranes and rigging
- Glass and material handling
- Power tools and PPE
- Silica and respiratory protection
- Fleet and vehicle safety
- Active construction and fabrication environments
Required Qualifications
-
Significant construction or industrial safety experience.
- Strong knowledge of OSHA construction standards and common jobsite hazards.
- Experience conducting safety inspections and incident investigations.
- Ability to identify root causes and drive corrective actions.
- Strong leadership, coaching, and communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively with field employees, supervisors, managers, and executive leadership.
- Strong documentation and organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
- Valid driver’s license and ability to meet company driver requirements.
- Willingness to travel regularly between company facilities and jobsites.
Preferred Qualifications

Experience in commercial construction, glazing, heavy industrial, civil construction, or a similar environment.
- OSHA 500 certification.
- OSHA 30-Hour Construction certification.
- CHST, ASP, CSP, or comparable professional safety certification.
- First Aid / CPR certification.
- Associate degree or higher.
- Bilingual English / Spanish communication skills.
- Experience with fleet safety, DOT compliance, or workers’ compensation programs.
Note: OSHA 30-Hour Construction certification may be obtained after hire within an established timeframe.
