Job Summary:
The Groundskeeper at Residences Glenwood Place is responsible for maintaining the exterior appearance, cleanliness, and overall curb appeal of the property. This role supports a safe, welcoming, and well-maintained environment for residents and visitors by performing routine grounds maintenance, light cleaning, and seasonal upkeep in coordination with the property management and maintenance teams.
Responsibilities:
- Maintain the cleanliness and appearance of all exterior areas, including sidewalks, parking lots, courtyards, green spaces, and common areas.
- Perform routine groundskeeping tasks such as trash and litter removal, leaf blowing, sweeping, and debris pickup.
- Assist with landscaping upkeep, including watering, weeding, mulching, trimming, and light planting as needed.
- Test and monitor swimming pool water levels and chemical balances in accordance with property standards and health regulations; report irregularities or maintenance needs to the maintenance team or pool vendor.
- Monitor property grounds and amenities for safety hazards, damage, or maintenance concerns and report issues promptly.
- Support seasonal property needs such as leaf removal, snow and ice management, and storm cleanup.
- Clean and maintain outdoor amenities including pool decks, grills, dog parks, playgrounds, and seating areas, as applicable.
- Assist with trash and recycling management, including dumpster area cleanliness and coordination with waste vendors.
- Work collaboratively with the maintenance team to support unit turns, move-ins, and community events as needed.
- Use tools and equipment safely and properly, following company policies and safety guidelines.
- Maintain a professional and courteous presence when interacting with residents, guests, and vendors.
- Follow established schedules, procedures, and work orders to ensure timely completion of assigned tasks.
- Support additional property-related duties as assigned to maintain overall community standards.
Required Skills/Abilities:
- Ability to perform physical labor, including lifting, bending, walking, and working outdoors in various weather conditions.
- Basic knowledge of landscaping tools, cleaning equipment, and safety practices.
- Strong attention to detail and pride in maintaining property appearance.
- Dependable, punctual, and able to work independently or as part of a team.
- Positive attitude with a willingness to assist residents and team members as needed.
Education and Experience:
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- Prior experience in groundskeeping, landscaping, maintenance, or a related role is preferred
Pay: $20.00 - $22.00 per hour
