Responsibilities
- Develop and implement engaging curriculum plans tailored to the developmental needs of children, including literacy, math, physical education, and Montessori methods.
- Provide attentive toddler care and support early intervention strategies to promote social, emotional, and cognitive growth.
- Manage classroom activities with effective behavior management techniques and classroom management skills to ensure a positive learning environment.
- Communicate regularly with parents about their child's progress, milestones, and any concerns, fostering strong home-school connections.
- Maintain accurate records of child development progress, standardized testing results, and lesson plans in compliance with childcare regulations.
- Ensure safety by adhering to first aid and CPR protocols, mandated reporting laws, and child welfare standards at all times.
- Collaborate with colleagues on curriculum development, special education accommodations, and inclusive teaching practices to support diverse learners.
Experience
- Prior experience working with children in daycare, preschool, or early childhood education settings is essential.
- Demonstrated expertise in curriculum development, literacy education, and childhood development instruction.
- Experience managing classrooms with various age groups including toddlers and preschoolers; familiarity with Montessori or similar educational philosophies is a plus.
- Knowledge of behavior management strategies and classroom management techniques to foster a respectful learning environment.
- Proven ability to communicate effectively with parents, staff, and children while maintaining professionalism and confidentiality.
- Certification in first aid and CPR is required; additional credentials in special education or early intervention are advantageous.
- Familiarity with mandated reporting laws, standardized testing procedures, and child welfare regulations ensures compliance with all safety standards.
Mandatory ****
CDA, 6-9 early childcare college credits, or degree in early childcare (similar).
Join us as a Daycare Lead Teacher/Director to help shape the future by nurturing young learners through innovative teaching methods and compassionate care! One position is Monday-Friday 8am-4pm , and the other is 10pm-7am (must be awake entire shift).
Candidates that are spanish speaking or can teach ASL will stand out.
Pay: $21.00 - $28.00 per hour
