Job Summary
Located inside the HCA West Marion hospital, we are seeking a dedicated Shop Manager to work in and oversee the daily shop operations. The ideal candidate will have a passion for serving others, strong leadership skills, and experience in inventory management and team supervision.
Responsibilities
- Lead Barista, a shining example of the expectations and what a great barista and team member looks like. Leading by example.
-Manage day-to-day operations of the shop including overseeing coffee and food production
- Lead and motivate a team of staff members to ensure high-quality service and efficient workflow
- Implement and maintain standards for cleanliness, organization, and safety in the shop
- Create and post the weekly team schedule for staffing the shop.
- Monitor inventory levels and and take inventory weekly to meet demand while minimizing waste
- Provide training and guidance to staff on beverage and food preparation techniques and customer service
- Conduct in-person interviews with candidates when needed to add to the team.
- Forecast and communicate when changes are needed for the team, such as adding an additional member or replacing an underperforming barista.
Requirements
- Ability to multitask, prioritize tasks effectively, and work well under pressure
- Clear communication with different personalities and via written (electronic) or verbal communication channels
- Strong understanding of inventory management practices and procedures
Experience: Preferred
- Experience in food production, catering, or restaurant management is preferred.
- Experience in team management and leadership roles is preferred.
- Barista background or restaurant experience is preferred.
