Job Description
Seeking a compassionate and dependable Hindi-speaking caregiver to provide non-medical in-home care to seniors. Hindi fluency is required for this position because certain clients communicate primarily in Hindi and need a caregiver who can understand their preferences, routines, and cultural needs. The ideal candidate will be patient, respectful, reliable, and committed to helping seniors remain safe and comfortable in their own homes.
Responsibilities
- Provide companionship and meaningful conversation
- Assist with bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and other personal-care needs
- Help with walking, transfers, and fall-prevention measures
- Prepare simple meals, including Indian meals when requested
- Provide medication reminders
- Perform light housekeeping, laundry, and linen changes
- Assist with grocery shopping, errands, and transportation
- Accompany clients to medical appointments and community activities
- Observe and report changes in the client’s condition
- Complete required shift notes and follow the client’s care plan
- Communicate professionally with clients, families, and office staff
- Maintain the client’s privacy, dignity, and independence
Qualifications
- Must be able to communicate effectively in Hindi and English
- Previous caregiving, home-care, assisted-living, or personal-care experience preferred
- CNA, HHA, or similar certification is helpful but not required
- Must be compassionate, dependable, patient, and respectful
- Must be able to assist clients with mobility and personal-care tasks
- Must have reliable transportation
- Valid driver’s license and automobile insurance may be required for assignments involving transportation
- Must successfully complete required background checks and employment screening
- Must be authorized to work in the United States
- Must have a reliable smartphone for scheduling and shift documentation
