Responsibilities
- Conduct individualized or group tutoring sessions focused on SAT and ACT math sections, emphasizing problem-solving techniques and test strategies
- Develop tailored lesson plans aligned with test preparation course standards and student needs
- Utilize educational technology and online tutoring platforms to deliver effective instruction remotely
- Assess student progress regularly, providing constructive feedback and adjusting lesson plans accordingly
- Guide students through test-taking skills, time management, and stress reduction techniques to maximize performance
- Maintain detailed records of tutoring sessions, student progress, and curriculum adjustments
- Collaborate with parents, teachers, or educational coordinators to support student success and address specific learning challenges
Requirements
- Proven experience in SAT / ACT math tutoring or test preparation course instruction
- Strong background in mathematics with the ability to explain concepts clearly to high school students
- Must be proficient in Algebra 1, Algebra 2, Geometry and the DESMOS calculator.
- Excellent presentation, communication, and lesson planning skills
- Prior private tutoring experience or classroom teaching experience is highly desirable
