Member Duties : Next Step Advisers engage in a range of activities to support students’ postsecondary planning and success. They provide one-on-one advising and small group sessions focused on college, career, and financial aid pathways. Advisers assist students with college applications, FAFSA completion, scholarship searches, and enrollment steps. They coordinate and lead workshops on topics such as essay writing, resume building, and career exploration. Advisers organize college visits, campus tours, and events that expose students to postsecondary options. They collaborate with school staff, families, and community partners to ensure students receive comprehensive support. Advisers also track student progress, maintain data, and conduct outreach to ensure students stay on track from application through enrollment.
