Job Overview
Join our team as a Truck Driver, you will be responsible for safely operating our trucks in order to pick up and deliver donations for our thrift store.
Duties
- Safely operate a variety of trucks and vans across designated routes.
- Load and unload cargo efficiently using appropriate equipment like forklifts when necessary
- Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure vehicle safety and compliance with regulations
- Manage route driving responsibilities, adhering to schedules and traffic laws to deliver goods promptly
- Maintain accurate delivery documentation and logs for all deliverys and pick ups and vehicle inspections
- Communicate effectively with dispatch teams regarding delivery status, route changes, or any issues encountered during transit
- Must have good customer service when working with donators and customers.
Qualifications
- Valid driver’s license.
- Knowledge of safety procedures related to freight handling and vehicle operation
- Ability to load & unload cargo efficiently and safely using forklifts or other equipment when required
- Strong understanding of traffic laws, route planning, and delivery schedules
- must be able to life up to 50ibs
- must pass a drug test
Pay: From $17.00 per hour
