Do you love animals, thrive in a fast-paced environment, and enjoy hands-on work? Sara’s Waggy Tails is looking for a dependable, compassionate, and hardworking Kennel Technician to join our growing team!
This is more than just cleaning kennels — we’re looking for someone who genuinely enjoys caring for dogs, creating a safe and enriching environment, and building trust with pet parents.
Position Highlights:
- Guaranteed 3 days/week
- Guaranteed 8-hour shifts
- Starting pay: $12.50/hour + tips
- Additional pet check-in opportunities available
- Flexible scheduling (with likely set days once established)

Pet Check-Ins:
Additional opportunities may include pet check-ins at clients’ homes:
- $16 per visit (typically 30 minutes)
- + $1/mile beyond a 10-mile radius from Sara’s Waggy Tails
- Increased need expected during maternity leave season
Responsibilities Include:
✔ Feeding & watering dogs according to individualized schedules
✔ Supervising group play & one-on-one enrichment
✔ Administering medications as directed
✔ Cleaning/sanitizing kennels & facility areas
✔ Monitoring dog behavior, health, and safety
✔ Taking daily photos/videos for pet parents
✔ Assisting with customer communication & payments
✔ Supporting drop-offs and pick-ups
Ideal Candidate:
- Comfortable working independently
- Reliable and punctual
- Able to handle physically demanding work
- Comfortable around dogs of all sizes and temperaments
- Able to stay calm under pressure
- Strong attention to cleanliness and safety
- Customer service experience is a plus
- Animal care, kennel, daycare, rescue, or vet experience preferred but not required
Requirements:
- Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs
- Must be comfortable working weekends/holidays as needed
- Must prioritize dog safety and care at all times
