Canarsie Childhood Center, a leading provider of early childhood education in Brooklyn, NY, is seeking a highly qualified and dedicated NYS Certified Early Childhood Special Ed Educator to join our team. As a key member of our special education preschool program, you will play a vital role in providing a nurturing and supportive learning environment for our students with special needs.
Responsibilities:
Implement curriculum aligned with Common Core State Standards
Lead class, supervise two assistants, and monitor the classroom to ensure a safe and nurturing learning environment
Prepare weekly lesson plans and develop quality Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
Evaluate students' progress in meeting IEP goals
Collaborate with colleagues to ensure a cooperative and team-oriented approach
