Growth HR Solutions is conducting this search on behalf of a confidential, established food-manufacturing client. This is a direct-hire opportunity. The selected candidate will be employed by the client, not Growth HR Solutions. Growth HR Solutions will coordinate the initial recruiting and screening process, and qualified candidates will receive the client's identity before a client interview.
This field-based role supports grocery locations across western New York. It combines high-volume cake decorating, bakery production, employee training, merchandising, customer support, and consultative sales. The technician receives a list of locations and independently plans the most effective route, schedule, and order of visits.
This is a strong fit for a grocery bakery manager, lead decorator, production decorator, bakery trainer, or supplier-side bakery professional who enjoys teaching people, solving production problems, and taking ownership of a territory.
What you will do
- Demonstrate commercial cake-decorating and bakery-production techniques
- Train bakery decorators, clerks, managers, and teams
- Support the correct use of icings, fillings, glazes, mixes, and related bakery products
- Help stores improve consistency, production efficiency, merchandising, product presentation, and product adoption
- Build professional relationships with bakery teams and account leadership
- Organize your own regional route and store-visit schedule
- Complete reports, email communication, and other administrative follow-up
- Respond professionally to changing customer priorities, openings, remodels, and weather conditions
- Identify practical opportunities to strengthen and grow the regional account
Travel and schedule
The territory is centered around Buffalo and Rochester, with possible travel farther east when needed. The official position requirements include local driving and overnight or out-of-town stays. The technician plans the route independently and may adjust travel timing to account for winter weather and customer needs. Safety remains the priority.
The Indeed posting will use Rochester as the primary location while welcoming qualified candidates based in the Buffalo area.
