We are looking for a passionate and enthusiastic Deli Cook to join our team during the day and evening shift at Lombardo's Bistro and Deli. You’ll be an essential part of our team, preparing high-quality deli items, ensuring food safety, and providing exceptional service that keeps our customers coming back.
What You’ll Do:
- Prepare and serve a variety of delicious deli items, including meats, cheeses, salads, sandwiches, and more, using your culinary expertise.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe deli area that complies with all food safety standards.
- Assist customers with their selections, sharing recommendations and answering questions with a friendly attitude.
- Work closely with your team to ensure the deli runs smoothly and efficiently during busy evening hours.
- Keep a close eye on inventory levels, help with ordering supplies, and contribute ideas for new menu offerings based on customer preferences.
- Follow proper food handling and preparation techniques to ensure top quality and safety.
- Perform tasks with skill and attention to detail, utilizing fine dining techniques when appropriate, to elevate our offerings.
Who You Are:
- You have previous experience in a culinary or food service environment, with a strong background in food preparation and cooking.
- Knowledge of food safety practices and regulations is a must.
- Your knife skills are sharp, and you’re comfortable with meal prep techniques.
- Experience in catering or serving is a bonus, but your passion for food and service is what truly sets you apart.
- You thrive in fast-paced settings, stay attentive to detail, and keep a positive attitude.
- Excellent communication skills help you connect with customers and work well with your team.
