About the Role
As a Plant Utilities Technician, you will serve as a critical guardian of our facility's core infrastructure, ensuring the seamless operation of steam, refrigeration, and compressed air systems. You will play a vital role in optimizing plant efficiency and maintaining a safe, high-performance environment through proactive monitoring and skilled mechanical maintenance.
Responsibilities-
Monitor and operate industrial boilers, ammonia refrigeration compressors, and water treatment systems to ensure continuous plant productivity.

Execute preventative maintenance and facility repairs, including plumbing, drainage, and exhaust systems, to minimize downtime.

Document utility performance through precise log rounds and meter readings to track system health.

Contribute to energy conservation initiatives and infrastructure improvements to enhance overall operational output.

Maintain a high standard of site safety and cleanliness, serving as an active member of the HAZWOPER response team.

Utilize advanced mechanical tools, including welders and tubing benders, to perform complex repairs and fabrication tasks.
Qualifications-
2+ years of technical experience or specialized training in boiler operation, industrial refrigeration, or water treatment.

Proficiency in plumbing materials, including PVC, black iron, copper, and stainless steel.

Ability to pass a medical physical and respiratory fit test for PPE compliance.

Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret complex technical instructions.

Advanced mechanical expertise in pipefitting, pump rebuilding, and gearbox maintenance.

Experience with metal fabrication, layout, and reading mechanical blueprints.

Demonstrated leadership potential and a history of strong safety and performance records.
