Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetists (CRNA’s) administer anesthesia and anesthesia-related care in four general categories: (1) pre-anesthetic preparation and evaluation; (2) anesthesia induction, maintenance and emergence; (3) post-anesthesia care; and (4) perianesthetic and clinical support functions.

Graduate of accredited nurse anesthesia program

Two (2) years of anesthesia care in acute setting experience preferred

Valid state RN License (must meet education requirement(s) for state licensure)

Valid state APRN Recognition (must meet education requirement (s) for state recognition and obtain within six (6) months of hire)

Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA) by the American Association of Nurse Anesthetists (AANA)

Certified Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) by the American Heart Association

Current BLS for Healthcare Provider CPR or CPR/AED for the Professional Rescuer certification

National Provider Identifier (NPI) and Taxonomy code required at time of hire

We are looking to fill a new position as a Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA) in our Operating Room. The CRNA will provide pre-anesthetic preparation and patient evaluation. Recommends, requests, and evaluates pertinent diagnostic studies. Selects prepares and administers anesthetic agents or other agents administered in management of anesthetic care. Provides anesthesia induction, maintenance, emergence, and post anesthesia care. Provides post anesthesia follow-up, report, and evaluation of patient’s response to anesthesia and for potential anesthetic complication. Identifies and manages emergency situations. Initiates or participates in cardiopulmonary resuscitation.
