Dental Front Office Coordinator / RDA

Austin Family Dentistry is a privately owned, modern general dentistry practice focused on providing exceptional, personalized patient care. We are seeking an experienced and highly motivated Dental Front Office Coordinator to join our team.
This position is ideal for a confident dental professional who understands both the clinical and administrative sides of dentistry and takes pride in creating an organized, welcoming, and exceptional patient experience.
The ideal candidate is dependable, proactive, detail-oriented, and comfortable taking ownership of responsibilities while working collaboratively with doctors, hygienists, assistants, and fellow administrative team members.
Primary Responsibilities
- Deliver warm, professional, and attentive patient care from the first phone call through checkout
- Coordinate and maintain an efficient, productive dental schedule
- Present treatment plans clearly and confidently while helping patients understand the value and importance of recommended care
- Review treatment estimates, financial arrangements, insurance benefits, and patient responsibilities
- Process dental insurance claims, follow up on outstanding claims, and assist with insurance-related questions
- Manage patient accounts, balances, payments, and financial follow-up
- Schedule restorative, hygiene, periodontal, and continuing-care appointments
- Maintain accurate patient information, documentation, and account records
- Support daily practice goals while helping create a smooth and organized experience for both patients and the clinical team
- Communicate professionally and effectively with patients, team members, insurance companies, and outside providers
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous dental front office experience is strongly preferred
- Working knowledge of dental terminology, hygiene procedures, restorative dentistry, treatment planning, and dental insurance
- Experience with scheduling, patient accounts, financial arrangements, insurance processing, and treatment coordination
- Registered Dental Assistant certification is highly preferred
- Ability and willingness to provide clinical or restorative support when needed is a strong advantage
- Dentrix experience is preferred
- Excellent communication, organization, leadership, and problem-solving skills
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities
- Professional appearance and a positive, patient-focused attitude
