Heavy-Duty Equipment Operator – Recycling Plant (Full-Time)
Location: Fort Lauderdale, Florida
Pay: $14-$16per hour, based on experience
Schedule: Full-Time
Prime Tires Distribution and Recycling is a growing recycling plant in Fort Lauderdale seeking a reliable and motivated Heavy-Duty Equipment Operator to join our team. This is a hands-on position offering steady work and room for growth within the company.
Responsibilities:
- Operate baling machines
- Operate forklifts
- Use cutting equipment, including cutters and chainsaws
- Load and unload passenger tires and truck tires
- Move, stack, and prepare tires for processing and recycling
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment
- Follow all safety procedures and company policies
- Assist with general plant operations as needed
Requirements:
- Experience with heavy-duty or industrial equipment preferred (training available for the right candidate)
- Forklift experience is a plus
- Ability to work in an industrial and outdoor environment
- Physically able to lift, carry, and handle passenger and truck tires
- Dependable, punctual, and safety-minded
- Willingness to learn and grow with the company
