Job Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Structural Project Manager to lead and oversee an established team working on structural engineering projects in the DFW metro. This pivotal role involves managing all phases of structural design and analysis, ensuring projects are delivered on time, within scope, and in compliance with building codes and safety regulations. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in civil and structural engineering practices, with expertise in steel, concrete, and masonry structural design, as well as proficiency with advanced structural analysis tools and Building Information Modeling (BIM) software. This position offers an exciting opportunity to coordinate multidisciplinary teams, communicate effectively with clients, and drive innovative solutions that meet project objectives.
Responsibilities
- Lead the development of structural designs for a variety of building types, including commercial, residential, and industrial structures.
- Prepare detailed construction documents using CAD software including AutoCAD, Revit, MicroStation, Civil 3D, and Building Information Modeling (BIM) tools.
- Conduct building code analysis to ensure all designs meet local regulations, safety standards, and construction regulations.
- Collaborate closely with clients to understand project requirements, provide technical guidance, and communicate progress effectively.
- Oversee construction phases by reviewing shop drawings, conducting site visits, and ensuring adherence to design specifications.
- Prepare technical reports and documentation to support project proposals, design modifications, or regulatory submissions.
- Supervise project engineering teams and draft technical specifications while fostering a culture of safety and quality.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or Structural Engineering
- Professional Engineer (PE) licensure (preferred not required).
- Minimum of total of 7 years of experience, 2 years managing structural engineering projects across diverse sectors.
- Proficiency with structural analysis software such as FEAs, Mathcad, Revit, AutoCAD, Civil 3D, MicroStation, and GIS applications.
- Strong knowledge of building codes including IBC (International Building Code), ASCE standards, and local construction regulations.
- Demonstrated expertise in steel structural design, concrete structural design, masonry systems, and system design principles.
- Excellent project management skills with the ability to develop schedules using project management platforms like MS Project or Primavera.

Pay: $120,000.00 - $160,000.00 per year
