Midas Hospitality is seeking an accomplished, strategic, and results-driven Senior Vice President of Commercial Strategy and Marketing to serve as a key member of the company's senior leadership team and provide commercial leadership across the hotel portfolio.
The SVP of Commercial Strategy and Marketing serves as the company's hotel commercial business leader, providing strategic direction, leadership, and support to the Revenue Management and Digital teams while partnering closely with Operations and Sales to achieve portfolio revenue and performance goals.
This executive leader is responsible for short- and long-term commercial planning, digital strategy, revenue productivity, sales and marketing effectiveness, brand and market positioning, and the development and execution of focused action plans designed to improve hotel performance.
The ideal candidate is a strategic and highly collaborative commercial leader with extensive hotel Sales & Marketing experience, multi-unit leadership expertise, strong business acumen, and a demonstrated ability to translate market intelligence and performance data into actionable strategies and measurable results.
What You Will Be Doing
Commercial Strategy & Portfolio Leadership

Serve as the senior commercial business leader for the Midas Hospitality hotel portfolio.

Provide strategic direction, guidance, and support to Revenue Management, Digital, Sales, Marketing, and property leadership teams.

Develop and execute short- and long-term commercial strategies aligned with company objectives and portfolio performance goals.

Lead Revenue Management and Digital teams toward excellence, accountability, productivity, and best-in-class results.

Develop high-performing commercial programs that respond to market demands and create a competitive advantage.

Partner with the SVP of Operations, General Managers, Directors of Sales, Revenue Management leadership, and other stakeholders to improve property performance.

Review revenue productivity across the portfolio, identify performance deficiencies, and develop targeted action plans to improve results.

Maintain an active leadership role with underperforming assets, hotel transitions, and rebranding initiatives.

Provide strategic guidance regarding competitive positioning, market opportunities, business mix, and overall commercial direction.
Revenue Management & Business Strategy
-
Partner with the VP of Revenue Management to ensure portfolio revenue strategies are aligned with market conditions, seasonality, demand, and business objectives.

Evaluate the appropriate mix of business based on market conditions, property needs, and revenue opportunities.

Collaborate with Revenue Management and Operations leadership to ensure properties receive the appropriate level of strategic attention and support.

Review and adjust revenue management call strategies as needed to better align with property leadership and portfolio objectives.

Participate in the development of annual business plans, providing guidance on business mix, Food & Beverage contribution, competitive positioning, revenue opportunities, and overall strategic vision.

Analyze portfolio performance and identify opportunities to improve productivity, profitability, and market share.

Develop targeted action plans based on strategic and performance analysis.
Digital Strategy, Distribution & E-Commerce

Provide strategic direction for hotel digital presence, programs, and initiatives.

Support properties in maximizing brand distribution programs, e-commerce opportunities, and hotel marketing resources.

Maintain current knowledge of brand Sales & Marketing systems, tools, standards, programs, and digital resources.

Ensure property teams effectively utilize available brand resources and commercial tools.

Partner with the VP of Digital to align digital strategies, priorities, and action plans with portfolio commercial objectives.

Evaluate digital and e-commerce performance and identify opportunities for improvement.
-
Support initiatives designed to strengthen online visibility, demand generation, conversion, and overall hotel performance.
Sales & Marketing Leadership
-
Provide strategic guidance to property Sales and Marketing teams to maximize productivity and performance.

Communicate key market information, competitive trends, and Sales & Marketing insights to Senior Leadership.

Support hotels in developing effective Sales & Marketing strategies based on market conditions and property-specific opportunities.

Assist hotels with effective and prudent Sales & Marketing expense management.

Direct and monitor the Request for Proposal (RFP) process in partnership with appropriate regional support personnel.

Identify opportunities to strengthen business development, market share, customer acquisition, and portfolio performance.

Support property teams in developing targeted action plans to address performance gaps.
Team Leadership & Development
-
Lead, coach, develop, and inspire high-performing commercial teams.

Recruit, hire, train, coach, and retain high-performing Commercial Strategy and Marketing team members.

Develop team members through ongoing coaching, feedback, professional development, and performance management.
-
Assist with orientation and onboarding of new Commercial Strategy and Marketing team members as needed.

Provide direction, coaching, and corrective action when performance does not meet established expectations.

Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, creativity, innovation, and continuous improvement.

Build strong working relationships across Operations, Revenue Management, Digital, Sales, Marketing, and property leadership teams.

Identify opportunities to strengthen organizational capability and commercial leadership across the portfolio.
Vendor & Brand Partnerships

Partner with hotel brands to identify and leverage appropriate Sales, Marketing, Revenue, Digital, and e-commerce resources.

Evaluate third-party vendors and service providers to ensure commercial teams have the tools, resources, and training necessary to be successful.

Establish and maintain effective vendor relationships.

Evaluate vendor products and services to ensure appropriate value and return on investment.
-
Monitor vendor performance and recommend changes when products or services do not support business objectives.

Maintain strong relationships with brand representatives and external commercial partners.
Executive Leadership & Communication

Serve as a trusted commercial advisor to Senior Leadership and property leadership.

Present commercial performance, market trends, strategic recommendations, and action plans to Senior Leadership.

Communicate effectively across multiple levels of the organization.
-
Provide clear direction while balancing strategic objectives with property-level operational realities.

Collaborate with Operations and commercial leadership to ensure strategies are aligned and executable.

Represent Midas Hospitality professionally with hotel brands, vendors, industry partners, and other external stakeholders.

Participate in special projects, task forces, committees, transitions, rebranding initiatives, and other strategic initiatives as required.
What You Bring
-
Bachelor's degree in Hospitality Management, Business Administration, Marketing, Sales, Revenue Management, or a related field preferred.
-
10+ years of progressive leadership experience within the hotel Sales, Marketing, Commercial Strategy, Revenue Management, or related hospitality discipline.

5+ years of multi-unit Sales leadership experience required.
-
Significant experience leading commercial teams across multiple hotel properties.
-
Demonstrated experience developing and executing portfolio-level commercial strategies.

Strong understanding of hotel Sales, Marketing, Revenue Management, distribution, e-commerce, and digital programs.

Demonstrated ability to analyze business performance and translate data into targeted strategies and measurable action plans.

Strong business acumen with the ability to understand market conditions, competitive positioning, business mix, and financial performance.
