We are seeking a dynamic and results-driven Operations Manager / Business Coordinator (BC) to oversee and optimize the daily logistics and distribution operations for a FedEx contractor. Duties
MUST HAVE BC / operationalknowledge of FEDEX GROUND
Minimum experience 2yrs .+++
- Lead and supervise warehouse operations, ensuring efficient inventory management, shipping & receiving, and order fulfillment processes.
- Develop and execute transportation planning strategies to optimize freight movement, delivery schedules, and route efficiency.
- Manage supply chain activities including procurement, demand planning, production scheduling, and distribution management.
- Oversee the use of transportation management systems (TMS), warehouse management systems (WMS), and ERP platforms to streamline operations.
- Monitor profit & loss statements to control costs, improve process efficiencies, and maximize profitability through process improvement initiatives such as Lean methodologies.
- Coordinate with third-party logistics providers (3PL) and NVOCC (Non-Vessel Operating Common Carrier) partners to ensure smooth freight operations.
- Implement continuous improvement practices by analyzing supply chain analytics, identifying bottlenecks, and leading process management projects.
- Supervise warehouse staff and logistics teams, fostering a culture of safety, accountability, and high performance through effective managerial communication.
- Conduct regular reviews of inventory control measures, distribution operations, and warehouse distribution strategies to meet service level agreements.
Requirements
- Proven experience in warehouse supervision, logistics management, or distribution operations with supervisory responsibilities.
- Strong understanding of profit & loss management, budgeting, and cost control within supply chain environments.
- Hands-on experience with transportation planning systems, ERP platforms, WMS solutions, and supply chain analytics tools.
- Knowledge of process improvement methodologies such as Lean or continuous improvement frameworks.
- Familiarity with freight shipping & receiving procedures, procurement processes, inventory management systems, and materials management.
- Excellent team management skills with the ability to motivate staff and communicate effectively at all levels of the organization.
- Demonstrated ability to analyze data for demand planning, production scheduling, and operational decision-making.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) for reporting and analysis purposes.
