The 2028 Games mark the return of the Summer Games to the U.S. for the first time in 32 years and Los Angeles' third time hosting an Olympic Games and first time welcoming the Paralympic Games. The LA28 Sport Presentation team will deliver an electrifying Games experience across one of the most iconic Olympic and Paralympic host cities in history.
Responsible for the sourcing and hiring of professional sport-specific announcers, scripting of sport-specific announcements, live commentary, music, video production, audio, lighting, integration of Victory Ceremonies, and entertainment programming at each competition venue, Sport Presentation will educate, engage, and entertain the live audience at every Olympic and Paralympic competition venue while elevating the competition experience for athletes and fans alike.
This position will oversee the planning and delivery of Sport Presentation across the LA28 venue portfolio for the 2028 Olympic and Paralympic Games. The Lead Producer will provide strategic and operational leadership across multiple Olympic and Paralympic Sport Presentation teams, managing a multi-disciplinary workforce of paid staff, contractors, and volunteers spanning venues across the Games footprint.
This is an evolving position and responsibilities may shift as planning progresses toward Games time. Titles may be adjusted periodically to accurately reflect the scope of responsibilities.
Develop requirements and specifications for Sport Presentation across all assigned venue(s) within the designated LA28 cluster
Represent Sport Presentation as a cluster-level leader within Event Testing and Games-time planning structures
Work closely with all Functional Area managers to ensure all Sport Presentation requirements are captured across logistics, technology, venue planning, transportation, accommodation, accreditation, protocol, and related areas
Demonstrate comprehensive knowledge of all Sport Presentation elements, including broadcast operations, audio, lighting, video production and programming, live entertainment, music, scoreboard operations, staging, wired and wireless communications, frequency coordination, and special effects
Background and Requirements
Degree or diploma from a recognized post-secondary institution in a related field (live events, sport management, business, marketing, or equivalent) or an equivalent combination of education and experience
Physical Requirements and Working Conditions
The majority of work will be conducted in an office setting, requiring extended periods of time using computers, phones, and other office equipment
Hours of work may vary, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, especially during peak event periods
The annual base salary range for this position is $105,000 - $140,000. The pay scale provided is the range that LA28 reasonably expects to pay as starting base compensation for this role. All LA28 compensation remains subject to final determination based on individual candidate qualifications, experience, or other reasonable criteria consistent with LA28's operational business needs and applicable law.
